In the fourth season of Smeris, peace seems to have returned to Tilburg. Willem has taken over the leadership of the police force from Marcel, and Theo and Maartje are leading a quiet life with little TJ. However, before Willem can adjust to his new role as police chief, he must take charge of a case that sharply challenges the distinction between law and justice, which slowly transforms into a deadly game.
