Mona Mina Leon is nominated for an International Emmy Award for her role in Holy Sh!t

Mona Mina Leon has been nominated for an International Emmy Award in the ‘Best Performance by an Actress’ category for her outstanding portrayal of Yasmine in the Streamz Original Holy Sh!t. In doing so, she makes history as the first Belgian actress to be nominated for an acting performance. The 54th International Emmy Awards gala is being held on November 23, 2026, in New York.

In Holy Sh!t, Mona Mina Leon plays Yasmine, a young woman with Tourette syndrome who dreams of becoming a teacher. She has lived within her own safe boundaries for years, until her father – a man she never knew – suddenly appears. Through him, she discovers an entire family that had previously been absent from her life.

This encounter turns her familiar world upside down. As Yasmine gets to know her new family and attempts to take the step into the classroom, she must also decide how much space she wants to give others – and herself! Holy Sh!t is a heartwarming dramedy series about family, love, and self-acceptance.
