Hollywood Reporter: SKOOP Media Joins Kris Kristofferson-Starrer ‘Joe’s Mountain’
The Netherlands-based distributor will help co-exec producer Breakthrough Entertainment secure European pre-sales for the theatrical drama to be shot in Canada.
TORONTO — SKOOP Media Global Entertainment has joined the Canadian indie film Joe’s Mountain, which will star Kris Kristofferson and has Helen Hunt in talks to co-star.
As co-executive producer, Pim van Collem’s Netherlands-based distribution outfit will help Canadian indie producer Breakthrough Entertainment secure European pre-sales for the theatrical drama, written and directed by Chuck Rose (Side Effects).
Production on Joe’s Mountain will take place in Canada, with Kristofferson playing a former ladies’ man who becomes a local celebrity when his dreams of future events suddenly start coming true. Henry Boger (Haven) is producing. Rose is repped by APA and Dave Brown and Matt Horwitz at Echo Lake.
