Drama series ‘The Prey’ nominated for prestigious Prix Europa Award

The IDTV produced drama series ‘The Prey’ , broadcasted by the VARA, has officially been nominated for the prestigious Prix Europa Award in the category Best Drama Series.
After a highly successful national award season ‘The Prey’ is now ready to conquer the European festival circuit.
‘The Prey’, based on the bestselling novel of the same name by journalist and professor Jeroen Smit, depicts the story of the rise and fall of Dutch banker Rijkman Groenink and the downfall of the entire ABN AMRO Bank, at the time one of Europe’s financial powerhouses.
Groenink was a brilliant banker. Most of his colleagues described him as a financial wonder boy.
In 2000 he was chosen as chairman of the Board of Directors of ABN AMRO Bank. But despite his many talents, it were his excessive ambitions and self-conceit that ultimately led to both the bank’s and his personal downfall.
